My three sons

Last night was quite the night. Roald was up either every hour or every two hours. I understand why sleep deprivation is used as a torture method. I was driving to the vets to take Jerry to have his ears cleaned when I started thinking about something that happens 28 times a year and quarterly. The following is my actual train of thought:
- 28 times a year and quarterly. Is quarterly every three months or every four months. [after a lot of thought I established it was every 3 months]
next thought: what's 28 divided by 4. Is it 6, 7 or 8. [it took me about 5 minutes to figure this out and my brain HURT the whole time]

All I can say is that I am glad I am not working as a banker at the moment. There would be some interesting loan rational. Actually, for the people that worked with me, there always was.

Jerry is all good now. He had his cancer site checked, his teeth checked and his ears cleaned under a general today. He is still a bit wobbly. 4 weeks till my mum comes and I can tell you, I am looking forward to the sleep.

Roald visits the Paediatrician

Roald met with his paediatrician today. Roald is doing really well and is super healthy. He now weighs a whopping 4.95 kilos. No scrawny baby here.

Visiting the Finnish Consulate

Felix was still off sick from school today, so he came with me to visit the Finnish Consulate. I need to get a 'Proof that I am alive' certificate for my grandmother's estate. We went there in the early afternoon after about 7 cups of coffee as earlier they might not have issued it!! Felix dressed up especially for them. On our way to consulate Felix was explaining to me that something was very big, apparently it was googolplex squared. I think he has been listening to his Granddad's physics theories again.

It's Autumn!

Summer is officially over. Yesterday was still pretty hot, around 30, but the night was only 14 degrees. It will slowly start getting colder. We had a busy weekend. Andre dropped off my wardrobe that has been at his house for the last 12 or so years. Andre is moving to the UK in April for good.

Jason, Pip and the kids were over for a BBQ on Sunday. It was a great day.

Poor Felix is sick today so he's stayed home. Max tried to be sick too inventing everything under the sun, but he went off to school in the end.
