Max's Birthday Party

Today was Max's 8th birthday party. Go-karting with
17 8yo boys. Use your imagination. Very full on day
but Max reckons it was his best birthday ever. It is
still just so hot. 40 yesterday and 35 today. The
forecast is that it won't go below 30 till Thursday.
Roald seems to enjoy the heat though.

No more baking today. I think I've put on about 5
kilos just from taste testing my own baking. I'm not
baking till Felix's birthday! Everything went really
well yesterday. Nanna and Granddad came to watch the
boys at their swimming and then stayed for birthday
cake.

Today is Max's 8th birthday. He started the day with
a chocolate cupcake in bed (instead of breakfast). I
was up till midnight last night baking cupcakes to
celebrate his birthday at school today. Then up at 6
to ice them. I have to say that they looked good and
tasted great. I've had a couple this morning too. And
there is NOTHING healthy in them. The kids in Max's
class seemed pretty pleased to see them too.
Max got lots of presents even one from Anne and Mummu in Finland. He was very happy with his stash. I said to Max that for his birthday I will cook him anything he wants for dinner. He responded with pizza from Pizza Hut. Hmmm, wasn't quite what I had thought, but I guess Pizza Hut it is. I still need to bake a cake today and then I should be able to get some sleep.
I took Roald to the doctor yesterday as he really was sounding like someone with emphysema. He is ok though, just need to keep an ear on him that he doesn't get worse. The night was pretty bad as he is so rattly, one can't help but keep listening. Poor little boy, (poor mummy too).

The hot weather is back. Yesterday was 33, today 37
and forecast for high 30s for the rest of the week.
Well at least I'm not pregnant.
Poor Roald is sick. He has Felix's cold. It's so sad sounding hearing him cough. Max has gone to his friend's house today and Felix is learning to play Super Mario on the WII.
