Baby it's cold outside

It’s been a cold approach to Christmas, with a few
days below -20. Mostly it’s been around -10. The
sea-ice is coming and there’s snow on the ground.
Today we went sledding. The boys got rugged up and off we went to the hill near the beach.
Some kids were testing out the strength of the ice down the beach, Good luck to them. I’ll wait until I see lots of heavy people and vehicles on the ice before I trust it.
The sledding hill still needs more snow, but you can find some good spots.
It’s the darkest time of the year and the sun was going down around 4. It was never very high, even at noon.
The swimming spot has a ripple-making device to stop the water from freezing, for the winter swimmers. While we passed, someone went for a swim. On purpose.
