+0.8 degrees this morning!

It’s getting colder! Temperature gauge showed +0.8 degrees this morning. Notice the precise measuring. The car windows had lots of ice so Felix and I got to ‘scrub’ them this morning. Something tells me it is not the last time we will be doing it. At least this time I had a proper scrubber. I remember once using my credit card for the purpose and it snapped half way through.

I had a lovely birthday on Sunday. Thank you everyone for the well wishes and thank you Wendy and Terry for the lovely flowers. They arrived on Sunday.

Max is loving school. It’s funny, but he especially loves the hot school lunches. He had thirds yesterday! He is doing really well too. Felix was off sick yesterday. Nothing serious and he is back at school again today. He is pretty excited as he is going on an excursion to the Natural Museum next week to see an exhibition on dinosaurs.

Dom is off to Denmark tomorrow for two days. He will be spending two days a week in Denmark for the next few months.

Roald is also good. He is getting surprisingly mobile. I am not trying to encourage him at all but still he is learning. He can lift his belly fully off the ground now and is sort of on his knees. Not in a crawling position yet, but not far off.

We are heading off to Nokia on Friday to catch up with Esko and his family. We are going via Lahti and stopping off at my great uncle’s wife’s funeral (she was 90). Even though funerals are sad occasions, they are good for catching up with relatives you don’t see on a regular basis.

Roley and his gummy smile.
