Heather's Kitchen Tea

Today was Heather's Kitchen Tea - Hen's night. The wedding is next Friday.

The Kitchen Tea was at the Elwood Croquet Club. It has been a great day. Very hot. First everyone had something to eat, then a croquet lesson. The girls are continuing on to a karaoke bar later on.

I had to leave early as I wasn't coping with the heat very well. 40 degrees and no air conditioning. I am quite swollen at the moment and it was lovely to come home to a lovely indoor temperature of balmy 32. Hopefully the cool change comes soon.

Felix the muscle man

Sarah has been visiting for the last couple of days. The boys just love having her over. Finally someone who plays with them. Anita headed off to Sydney today to visit Paivi and Adrian. They just had a new baby boy Sasu.

It is hot again. I just am so unable to cope with the heat at the moment. I just wish Swishy would come out. We had an ultrasound last week and he is already 2.4 kilos ie larger than standard. I must have been eating too much ice cream.... He is doing very well though. Practicing breathing and playing with his feet. With the amount of kicking he is doing at the moment, I think he must have a football in there too. Felix is very keen for him to come out and he asks daily if today is the day Swishy is coming out. That in itself is very tiring.

Happy New Year 2008!!

Very hot today too. 40 outside and about 36 in the house (and no Anne I'm not measuring the temperature from the direct sunlight). Poor house had no chance to cool down last night. At 2am it was still 32 outside! Dom's gone off boating with Paul and the boys and I have stayed home. We need to keep watering the chickens so that they don't melt. I hope the cool change comes today....

This is my rooster. He is still a baby and lets the white chook boss him around, don't know how long that will last. He is very good though and looks after his sisters. I got him from Felix's school at the end of last year. He was hatched from an egg at the school.

New Year's Eve

Sooooo hot. Forecast is for 41 and it is already 39. We set up the wading pool on the deck to try to keep a bit cool. Max and Felix are having a lovely time outside as I write. Anita just left in her blue van up to Kinglake to Shane and Bron's house to celebrate new year.

The boys cooled off later on during the day by playing in the sprinklers. Lucky we have a water tank otherwise it would be illegal!!
They had such a good time though.
